LOST IN THE WEST

i am the silent voice of ages
and the dreams of several kind,
the love in every soul
floating in an unknown world.
i am the light of all trees,
the ear of raging rivers,
the many of the few,
the sorrow of all joy.

i am unknown by mortal man,
the pain of fallen heroes,
the secret hope of troubled souls,
(it is the deep intensive feeling).
i am the music of strong winds
and the yearning at your feet
which seeks the magic answer.
i am devotion doomed to treachery,
the base assault on purity.

i am the valley crowing mountain peaks,
the ice on desert sands,
the hour of a moment
and length of brief affection.
i ride shadows over nations,
my arm forever wounded,
i am the great unsatisfaction.
grieve! i am love in the West.
