France has so much to offer. Therefore no need to go in foreign countries ?
I have met a french student who has never past the french borders to visit another country at the age of 25.
I was very surprised, but after reflection I found a reason in all that France itself offers to the people living there.
- Wonderful coast-sides with Côte-Azur for the classical stay, Biaritz for wave-riding, Bretagne for rough coast and plenty more.
- The Alps and Massif Central - to name the ones I have been to - allow to ski in winter-time and to do hiking in summer-time.
- Different type of cultures. They are in my eyes quite a lot influenced by the countries next to them, i.e. in the south of France you can find an event called Corrida which is completely related to spanish culture. People chase the bulls through the city street and even have bullfights as I have noticed in Arles for example.
- You will find numerous sports activities that remind holidays : Sailing, diving, horse riding, climbing, etc
- You have historical monuments as a huge amphi theater in the small city called Orange for example.
- Several stalactite caves invite to discover the "bottom of France", canoeing in Ardèche is very famous and climbing with cables in trees may be fun.
- And last but not least, the capital of France is a place which takes months or years to discover. Alone the Louvre museum is too big to be completely visited in one day. Now imagine all the other cities !
This uncomplete list should just give an idea of what offers France. Even a life-time ain't enough to go through all the interesting activities and to understand its history.
So now let's take Germany for example : If germans want to spend some time on a coast which is not too cold, people have to go to Italy, France or Spain if they want to do the shortest way. So people in the middle of Europe - that is Germany - are quite often occasioned to go abroad. All around are different countries and very few coast lines as on the North Sea and East Sea.
Or isn't that the reason for somebody at the age of 25 haven't left his country yet ?
