My Tamron broke yesterday

I've been quite happy with the Tamron 17-50 until yesterday. When I attached the lens cap I noticed that the filterthread was loose and wobbled around. The lens still works, but I'm going to send it to Tamron for repair. Luckily I'm still within the warranty period (1 year here in Austria, you get 5 years when you're German ).

It'll be interesting to see how their service works. I wasn't very happy with Nikon's service point in Vienna. It took them 3 weeks to complete an inspection and replace some rubber parts on my D80. I just hope they can finish this faster.

Danke, ich hab's heute mit der Post abgeschickt. Ich wollte ja so ein "Fragile" oder "Vorsicht Glas" Pickerl am Paket oben haben, aber der Postbeamte hat gemeint, das gibt's nicht in Deutschland. Kann ich nicht wirklich glauben, aber es sollte so sicher verpackt sein (Blubberfolie, Zeitungspapier), dass es da hoffentlich nichts gibt.

Das ist natürlich schade um das Objektiv, hoffentlich wirds schnell repariert oder ersetzt!
Habe das gleiche Objektiv und bin bis jetzt auch sehr zufrieden damit!

..ich habe sie persönlich im Service abgegeben,
weil ich das Paket mit Cam & Linse nicht extra für 1.300€ versichern wollte...

Nach mittlerweile einer Woche hätten sie zumindest eine Eingangsbestätigung oder sowas schicken können. Das Paket wurde laut Post bereits am Dienstag zugestellt. Bisher habe ich noch nichts gehört.

Habe genau das gleiche Problem mit meinem 17-50. Bin mit der Sonnenblende gegen den Fußboden gestoßen, dabei hatte sich der Linsenhalterungring-dingens gelöst. Scheint ja recht empfindlich zu sein, das Teil. Hab´s dann mit Heißkleber fixiert, wollte das Objektiv nicht einschicken.
