Heute habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, alle Heimatstags zu löschen, also „Deutschland“ (und „Germany“) und „Hamburg“. Das hat nichts damit zu tun, dass ich anonym bleiben will (schließlich trete ich hier auch unter meinem Realname in Erscheinung und stehe zu meinen Aussagen, daher darf auch ruhig jeder wissen, wo ich herkomme), sondern viel mehr damit, dass die Tagwolke völlig Aussagelos war.

Anstatt verschieden große Tags (eben je nach Häufigkeit der Verwendung) gab es dort drei Tags, die die Maximalgröße hatten, und der Rest hatte die Minimalgröße. Aussagekraft gleich null also.

Darum habe ich die Tags „Hamburg“, „Deutschland“ und „Germany“ aus allen meinen Bildinformationen entfernt. Nun ist die Tagwolke auch aussagekräftig. Vorher sah ich zum Beispiel nicht, dass ich hauptsächlich Farben-Tags verwende, sondern sah nur meine Heimatstags ganz groß.

Ich werde diese Tags zukünftig natürlich auch verwenden, allerdings nur, wenn Tag und BIldinhalt in zusammenhang stehen, also auch tatsächlich etwas Hamburg-Bezogenes auf dem Bild ist, wenn ich „Hamburg“ tagge.

Wie handhabt ihr das, und warum?

Today i decided to delete all home-tags, thus „Deutschland“ (and „Germany“) and „Hamburg“. This is not because i want to stay anonymus (at last i use my realname for ipernity and i stand to my statements, therefore anybody is allowed to know where i’m from), this is because of my tag cloud was totally expressionless.

Instead of showing my tags in different sizes (according to it’s frequency of use), there were three tags which had the max size and the rest of the tags were in min size. Expressiveness about zero.

Therefore i deleted the tags “Hamburg”, “Deutschland” and “Germany” from all my picture informations. Now the tag cloud has more significance. Before i deleted the tag, i didn’t knew, that i mostly use color tags, but ony saw my home tags in big.

I want to use this tags in future, too, but only if something related to HAmburg is on the picture, i’ll use the “Hamburg” tag.

What about your usage of tags, and why do you tag, like you do?
