Saawaryia (Amazing Movie)

Saawariya (Hindi:सावरिया, UrduساوریاEnglishBeloved) is a Bollywood film based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's short story, "White Nights".

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment on November 92007 and has thus become the first Indian movie to be co-produced and distributed by a Hollywood production house.

The stars are Ranbir Kapoor (Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh's son), Sonam Kapoor (Anil Kapoor's daughter), Salman Khan, and Rani Mukerji, with veteran actresses Zohra Sehgal and Begum Para in supporting roles.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali made DEVDAS and a he directed the 1923 opera ballet Padmavati, written by Albert Rousselan, for the prestigious Theatre Du Chatelet in Paris, the Premiere was last Friday and Bhansali's unique sense of Art direction made a real blast.

His last movie, Saawaryia had bad reviews in India, however I found this movie very well-done.

It's a musical based on the story by Fyodor Dostoevsky's "White Nights" therefore it's definitely the type of love story that Bollywood has never narrated before, there's no family rivalry; no social drama; no unrealistic action; nothing except the love of Saawariya.

The movie has a powerful cast and the lead actors who are debutants couldn't have started their career with better performances.

This whole movie in blue shades is a magical dream, with beautiful sets blending Paris, Venice and India.

In this song portrayal of male sensuality is for the first-time-ever shown in Bollywood: www.youtube.com/v/Yf-A8j13yfQ&hl=

The performance by Rani Mukherjee and her choreography in the song 'Chabeela' are amazing: www.youtube.com/watch?v=35ZBEXcZd7I
