My day out in London was principally to photograph the Stagecoach London vehicles on both sides of the Thames. My first port of call during my visit was to Lewisham before moving on to Catford. After taking pictures mainly of the ADL Enviro 400 Tridents as well as the TransBus ALX400 Tridents on the south side of the river, I then ventured to the north side of the Thames via central London, and headed eastbound towards Stratford, Canning Town and to Walthamstow.
Pictures of buses were taken from other bus operators such as Arriva, Tower Transit, Abellio, Go Ahead and Metroline.
I began my journey from Manchester Shudehill Bus Station, on the 06.40 Stagecoach Megabus M11 service to London on Van Hool Astromega No 50229 SV59 CGO, which had arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule at London Victoria, whereas on my return journey back to Manchester, I had a Plaxton Panther-bodied Volvo B12B tri-axle which was No 54053 KX09 NCJ. The scheduled departure time from London was at 23.30 calling at Coventry, and had arrived 20 minutes late at Manchester at 04.00 the following morning.
