An introduction

So, who am I.

I'm an amateur photographer who likes to shot under unusual or difficult lighting conditions. This, combined with my love of music, led me to concert photography. I still take photographs of other things, but decided to make my Ipernity site about my music photography.

So, what will you see here. Probably no one famous. I usually shoot local bands, in local pubs and clubs. There are several reasons for this: 1) It's easier to organize permission to shoot and 2) the lighting tends to be more challenging with smaller venues.

The challenging lighting does sometimes mean that I can't always shoot the whole of the band, as I'd like to, but it does push me into all sorts of problem solving areas, which I like.

Music, to me, is emotion. And that is what I aim to capture. I don't always succeed, but I continue to try.
