Thought I would post a link to this article for you all to read:

Overall, it appears:

The chances of Ipernity surviving are good. The Ipernity Members Association will likely take over operations this August. There are still a few logistical challenges (as there would be with any take-over of this nature) left to work out, but I think the general chances for a successful take-over by the Ipernity Members Association and a continuation of this site into the long term are positive.

With that in mind, I will continue to upload new photos to Flickr, and then import them over to Ipernity to maintain fully 'synced' profiles on both sites. I fully intend to remain active on both sites, with most of my activity remaining here on Ipernity.

I have unfortunately encountered a hurdle for taking line safaris, though. For the past month or so, it has been non-stop clouds and rain! I have not been able to get any good pictures at all. The gloomy weather is likely to continue through much of this week, so it will be at least several days before I can get out with the camera again.

REGARDING POSSIBLE BOSTON SAFARI:

I will be in the Northeast for at least a few weeks this month. If you all would like the Boston safari to take place in June, I need links/addresses of at least 20 good poles within two weeks from today. I think we'll find them without too much effort once more pockets of 4.16 kV distribution are discovered on street view imagery.
