I really like to look for interesting stuff with dolls, and there is no better depository for great ideas than on Youtube. Here are three great examples of how creative doll collectors made their dolls come alive.

Stop motion video

Stop-motion animation is one of the simplest, most fun animation techniques. They are don't require complicated tools. Just a digital camera, computer and imagination and you’re on your way.

Here's a nicely done example illustrating a waking-up sequence to the music video "Melt"

Crazy Talk

Another interesting I'd seen is using a nifty little programme Crazy Talk (www.reallusion.com/crazytalk/crazytalk.aspx) to animate 2D images into awesome looking video.

Here's one that uses the DOD company images of Luke on a popular tune.

Robotic dolls

And then there is this amazing fellow who have combined robotry technology with dolls (dancingdoll-rz.com). Here's an outstanding performance of the dollfies playing the theme of Space Battleship Yamato.

I'm in the midst of playing with crazy talk at the moment. It's kinda simple and fun, and I do hope to share something soon. :)

Oh! Do share with me if you find any interesting thing on youtube. I do love to be infused with more inspirations.
