Was wäre, wenn du -oder noch schlimmer: dein Kind- an Leukämie erkrank(s)t und eine Knochenmarkspende die einzige Lösung wäre - würdest du sie annehmen?

Was wäre, wenn du jemandem in Not helfen könntest - würdest du?
Was wäre, wenn du derjenige wärst, der mit ein bisschen Knochenmark Leben spenden könnte - würdest du?

The following pictures show what happend during the five hours of the donation

Die folgenden Bilder zeigen, was bei der Spende passierte:

You take place in a comfortable seat and get 'wired', one needle in the right, one needle in the left arm. Du nimmst auf einem bequemen Liegsessel Platz und wirst verkabelt, eine Nadel in den linken, eine Nadel in den rechten Arm.	Resistance is futile
OUTPUT	You are connected to a machine that filters your stem cells out of your blood. Hardest thing: Stay on your place for five hours. No Coffee - no peeing... Du wirst an eine Maschine angeschlossen, die die Stammzellen aus deinem Blut filtert. Die Härte: das dauert fünf Stunden. Kein Kaffee - kein pinkeln...
Your blood gets directly back into your vein. Du bekommst dein Blut umgehend zurück.	INPUT
A new hope	After five hours you're done. This bag is directly transferred to the recipient's hospital via courier. Nach fünf Stunden ist alles erledigt. Der Beutel geht dann per Kurier zur Klinik des Patienten.

In the end the whole process of donating the stem cells was easy goin' - for me.
Two hours later we were sitting in a Sushibar and I rewarded my efforts with 'the big plate'.
Two days after I'm back in the office...

Im Endeffekt ist der ganze Vorgang der Spende Pipifax (für meinen Teil!!).
Zwei Stunden später saßen wir schon in einer Sushibar und ich habe mich mit der großen Platte 'belohnt'.
Zwei Tage später bin ich schon wieder im Büro...
