Video on Ipernity

After reading Pandarine's report about problems with videos I decided to take a closer look.
In the past I already uploaded a few videos from different sources, those taken with an old Olympus digicam, a mobile phone, my BlackBerry, some fun stuff from the net (mostly 'viral marketing' or advertising movies) and some selfmade slideshow videos produced with Google Picasa or "Windows Movie Maker". Most of the time all these videos work pretty good and run without problems on different computers and operating systems.

Now I made the test with a Panasonic Camera FZ18 (borrowed from a friend) and I can confirm that

• the file format is .mov - i.e. QuickTime Movie
  
• the pixelsize format is "848 x 480" at 30 frames per second
• the file is pretty large ~01:07 minute is about 60 MegaByte - so one second is one MB
• it takes some time to do the upload & converting on ipernity (keep in mind: still 'beta'!)
• on my PC the video runs perfectly smooth without any break or pause for loading the next chunk...

Is there anybody else with problems or without any problems in handling .mov videos???

Nach der Lektüre von Pandarines Bericht über Probleme mit videos auf ipernity habe ich mir die Sache mal näher angeschaut.

In der Vergangenheit habe ich einige Videos aus unterschiedlichen Quellen hochgeladen, von der ollen Olympus digicam, vom Handy, vom BlackBerry, Spaßfilmchen aus dem Netz (Werbung und Filmchen des 'viralen Marketings') und ein paar mit dem 'Windows Movie Maker' oder Google Picasa selbstgebastelte Fotopräsentationen. Das lief bislang alles ziemlich gut und ließ sich auf unterschiedlichsten Rechnern problomlos abspielen.

Jetzt hab ich mir eine Panasonic FZ18 geliehen und kann bestätigen:

• das Dateiformat ist .mov, also QuickTime movie
• die Auflösung ist "848 x 480" pixel bei 30 Bildern pro Sekunde
• die Datei ist verdammt groß ~01:07 Minute entspricht 60 MegaByte - also eine Sekunde = ein MB
• das Hochladen und Konvertieren zu/auf ipernity dauert recht lang, aber es kommt auch die folgende Meldung:

"Bitte beachten Sie, dass sich der Import diverser Audio- und Videoformate noch in der Testphase befindet.
Wir beheben nach und nach alle auftretenden Probleme und verbessern das Import-Feature jeden Tag ein bisschen mehr. Haben Sie noch etwas Geduld."

• auf meinem Rechner läuft das Video ruckelfrei und flüssig durch, ohne Pause zum Nachladen oder so

Hat sonst noch jemand Problemchen (oder halt keinerlei Probleme) mit .mov-Filmen???
