Brisbane photo op - Senator Bartlett's re-election campaign launch is Sunday July 8

If you want a good photo opportunity, Senator Andrew Bartlett of the Australian Democrats is launching his re-election campaign at the Gardens Theatre, QUT Gardens Point, at 11am this Sunday, July 8.

If you're in Brisbane and interested in this sort of thing, it might be worth dropping in to take some shots of the early shots in this year's election campaign.

I'll be there taking photos, making a video, sending live audio reports to my blog via Gabcast and liveblogging cameraphone shots (unfortunately, I'll have to use another photosharing website starting with 'f' and ending in 'why don't you troublemakers just go away?' to do that).

Brisbanites! Photoshoot/Protest Censorship at Channel 7 studios at Mt Coot-tha?

Why Channel 7? Because Yahoo Australia is Yahoo! 7 - they are Yahoo's business partner.

And Mt Coot-tha could be a spectacular place to get some really creative photos.

Click here to read more about the idea at the Against Censorship at Flickr wiki.

If you would be interested in this, please say what you think and what times would be good for you.

Hello to the exploring, angry flickrites - especially from Brisbane

I see that at least two other Brisbane flickrites are checking out Ipernity.

My thoughts - pretty good so far, the fact that Ipernity has a bulk upload program was VITAL for me.

What about geotags? I geotag using Google Earth/Picasa, but the geotags do not seem to be imported directly into Ipernity.

I'd also love to see an email address that I can use to post to Ipernity that also posts directly to my blogs (I won't be using this blog as my main one). Without that, I can't moblog with Ipernity, so I would have to stay with a flickr account for that. Mind you, if I have to do that, it will be a free account as soon as my current pro account runs out.

Tuxcomputers wants groups as well, I notice. Anyone else? What features do you want to see here on Ipernity to convince you to do the big job of getting all your photos here instead of flickr?
