To Whom It May Concern (and any others)

My fine old diesel-powered computer, the one with the rusty old steam brakes and the ear-splitting whistle, broke down somewhere between Hither and Yon some weeks ago, and now must be ingloriously scrapped. We tried to save it, but...

In the interim, I'm on my wife's computer, using unfamiliar software, and not knowing what I am doing (even more so than usual.)

A new computer must be loaded with whatever it is that computers are loaded with -- electrons, I'm told -- and also advises that it is unable to "locate a signal," which means that it is stupid.

I should be back online on a more regular basis in a few days. Until then...the world goes on without me!
