Amateur paysites still suck.

I just re-visited a certain paysite (southern charms) yesterday looking for potential eye-candy. They have something like 800 "models" there, but, in my opinion, they suck for two reasons: (1) No quality control on photos that are uploaded. Example: you pay the $14.95 to become a member of one other their models sites, and you just don't know what you're going to get. It might be a guy in a trailer with a $100 point-and-shoot camera. Yes, you can still get good photos with these things, but that requires things like good light, composition, etc. which many of the boyfriends and husbands of the "models" simply don't understand. This lack of quality was apparent in the SC thumbnails, but is also confirmed in all the "web finds" I've found from SC on flickr, etc. (2) Automatic rebilling. You pay the $14.95, and it keeps billing your credit card every month until you cancel. What happens if you sign up, pay the $14.95, then immediately cancel. Hopefully, your subscription continues until the end of the month, but they don't say that in their terms of service.

After a quick glance through all 800 or so of their female models, I came to the conclusion that only about 1% actually have photos worth paying for. The rest, while they may look good, their husbands are uneducated as photographers. So you have lots of crappy photos of pretty ladies: poor light is the number one problem and poor composition is number two. For example, in the butt shots, most of the models are not looking at the camera at all. You don't see their eyes at all. Go to SI, etc., and this sort of photo is very uncommon. On SC, it's all over the place. Needless to say, I didn't sign up and don't plan on it anytime soon. Add to that all those models who call themselves "BBW", then when you see their thumbnails, their butt and belly are covered in most. Guys who want to see BBW's don't want them covering up the big parts.

Whatever is your fancy, I suggest you not waste your time or money on sites like SC. We have far better skilled and equipped photographers here on IP than the vast majority of the SC models's partners.
