Located the Monte Fort and opposite St. Pauls Ruins ( the entrance is at the side), the Museum has been built into the ancient Fortress, which dominates the Inner Harbour, the jesuits built it at the beginning of the 17th century. Next to the fortress was the famous St. Pauls College also called the College of theMother of God (considered to be the first Westem - type University in the Far East). The college was connected to the church bearing the same name of which only the spectacular facade remains dominating the area drawing many admimiring touristas.
Although the Museun does not posses a collection of a high monetary value, it does have a vast number of objects of a great historical value, which have been carefully chosen and beautifully exhibited.
