I've been traveling back and forth from Europe with a 17", 12 pound computer, Nikon/Minolta cameras and lenses for many years.
It's been a pure pain to carry so much and especially, when I have had to go to through various check points at airports.
Sometime, I've wondered if it's been all worthwhile.
A few months ago, I was to take a very important trip to see someone special.
During my preparations, my LAPTOP was making these funny sounds and, as I said in my previous post, the computer totally died.
I lost a lot of work that I had not backup'd, and to YOU!
Yes! YOU!
BACKUP YOUR COMPUTER!
I am an adult, and why should I follow my own advice.
But, YOU SHOULD!
Anyway, while I was in the middle of repairing my computer, my son and daughter-in-law gave me a hackless, unwormed, free from updating countless security patches, APPLE.
Yes! My first APPLE.
Well, needless to say ... I didn't go on my trip to see that special someone, and that was sad.
But, while I lost one opportunity another fell on my lap[top].
Sorry ... I couldn't resist.

They are easy to use, too easy in fact, make me feel dumb.
To people like me, technicians whom have studied electronics/computing, Apple Computer just do not work. They are limiting.
But of course I understand they work fine for people not willing to get in depth knowledge of their computers.

Thanks so much for your reply!
And,
I am sorry for my late reply.
I have been working on getting a calibrator for my laptop xp system and I think I read in one of your blogs that you had bought one.
I am going to check on that blog and come back to you with some questions if I may.
Regards,
luna

Which model is it and what does it do?
Maybe I'll go to Dows and take a look at what they have!
