Why is a crane threatening to take over my life?
For the last couple of months there has been this crane near where I live. Its there to help with yet another new development in Croydon. Yes there is a big building boom here. Croydon is ripe for urban regeneration, again. Those who would not cross the river 10 years ago are now seeing the attraction of being next to the two biggest and most well served airports in London. Anyway back to the crane its one of the several so I have been thinking about these angular giants and the anatomical geometry, and here is one nigh on top of my doorstep. Can I get out and photograph at the end or the start of the day when the light is good - er no - it rains a lot here in the UK and surprisingly in June and July. When it isn't I am on bedtime duty with the kids, so when I get the chance to visit a friend with kids towards the end of the day who is living close to the crane I think great! Er no its about to rain. Anyway the latest shots are of said crane in what can be said is pretty poor light.
