with my TouchPad. It has hung up at the end of my blog, screen gone white, can't do anything with it. I had lost the sound a few weeks ago, which I miss on the Solitaire game, the click, click of the cards being moved and the Bravo, Bravo when I win. There is no support for that defunct HP product unfortunately, no replacements available, probably out of warranty anyway. I'll turn it off and on and see if I can resurrect it for a while longer.

Anyway, I got through the 105F/40+C temp without a/c yesterday. It was uncomfortable and sweaty, my sleeping t-shirt officially stinks, I didn't get out of bed until 9pm. Read a whole book in less than 24 hours with some sleep in there of course.

I put the fan on down draft to sleep last night and it bugged the heck out of me, just changed it back. Will wash sleeping t-shirt with other stuff this morning and change the sheets before bed tonight when the cats are shut out, they love to 'help' make the bed, jump in the flying sheets and try and eat the memory foam cushion. No thanks, I'll make it without you guys!

I kept looking at weather.com yesterday. It said the high was 101F at 2:45pm but when I look at yesterday's temp today, it shows it reached 105F. The gauge on the back patio in the shade showed 112F. The thermostat in the living room said it was 89F at 5:30am this morning with a 77F breeze going through, front and back windows open. Anyway, I know I can survive without a/c but I will put the thermostat on 87F and be comfortable., i.e. not sweaty, and wear socks.

Today I will be up at 10am to have lunch with Shelley at May's Counter, a Southern restaurant, at 11:30am. I shall have the quintessentially Southern dish Shrimp 'n Grits, with sides of Mac 'n Cheese and Sweet Potatoes, and partake in a Mason Jar cocktail called 'Southern Lemonade' made with Southern Comfort, home made Lemonade, Peach Schnappes and Sprite for $6. http://mayscounter.com/menu I'd like to try the Tatchos (Nachos made with Tater Tots) but Shelley won't share them with me and will complain about the fattening menu while eating her salad, and I will tune her out or talk of my NYC trip if I can get a word in edgeways. ;-) I'll go back on my own and try the Tatchos some other time. Back to losing the NYC weight tomorrow.

Then I will come home and stamp and put labels on the 400+ envelopes in prep for stuffing tomorrow. They will be delivered to the realtor on Friday and I will get some grocery money to buy lunch to take to the weekend job (cheese, sesame rice crackers and fruit from Trader Joes), plus other odds and sods needed like t.p.

I got a call from a Herndon, VA number yesterday, listened to the voicemail later and it was my job replacement asking a question about how I paid for some training on www.lynda.com. I don't want to call her, will send an email to Meg, she never answered my long email from a month or two ago (yeah, she really misses me), and asked what that is about. They just has to look at past spreadsheets to see I paid it with my purchasing card and no, I don't have it and I don't remember it's number. I can't even remember the name of the manager of that department now. So over them...

Hope you are having a fab day!
