What you walk on can often be very interesting visually. There is much art in laying paving stones, and often there are fascinating patterns to be recorded. Likewise for carpets, and tiled floors, not to mention the variety of wooden parquet floors. Lower your eyes, and click away, then send your pics to the new group:

On Sunday, 1st Feb 2009, the snow fell over London. On Monday and Tuesday, I took some pictures. See what London looked like after the worst smow fall it has experienced for over 10 years!
Take a look at my recent, almost complete (that depends on the weather in the next few days!):
A collection of photographs taken during our trip to Istanbul in October 2008 may be seen at: http://www.ipernity.com/doc/adam/album/100133 .
We have left cold, grey London and have arrived in sunny Bangalore from where I wish you all Happy Holidays!
I will look at Ipernity from time to time but not as often as usual.
All the best from
Adam
For the first time for a number of decades, the Christmas lights for which London's Regent Street is famous are .... wonderful .... and in good taste!

An excerpt from the Deccan Herald (a newspaper in Bangalore India) adds a bit more detail to my description (See: http://www.deccanherald.com/CONTENT/Aug232008/metrosat2008082286012.asp ):
| "Dastkar, a national NGO for crafts and craftspeople, celebrates its fourth Nature Bazaar at Chitrakala Parishat till September 1. The bazaar brings together different craft skills from 19 states from across the country. | |

The bazaar is not just a showcase for indigenous techniques, textures and designs, but a forum for environmental, social and cultural concerns, bringing together ideas and issues as well as people and products. | |
