My not-so-old Olympus compact camera died on me. That is why I have not posted any photos recently. WIth an upcoming hoilday trip soon, I decided to take a leap and invest in a DSLR.

Being an Olympus fan, I upgraded to an E-520 model yesterday. It was expensive but so worth it. Though a couple of people have started asking me those usual quesions of "Why did you get Olympus not Canon/Nikkon?" If they like Canon and Nikkon's Full Frame so much they can go buy those brands.

I'm still figuring out the controls - it's my first DSLR afterall - but I'll try to get it done quickly! There's so much food in this world I need to capture.

Sorting through my photos today, I discovered many photos taken of food. All shared one thing in common - terrible photography skills. I have come to the conclusion that I'm just a very bad photographer; especially on food. Most of it are not posted here as they are really really bad. Blurry, yellow effects can be seen on most.

It irritates the hell out of me but I guess I have to actually practise on this. I hope one day I'll be able to take great night view photos and food photos.
