So here I am, setting up camp in Ipernity. I'm not sure if I'm a fully fledged Flickr refugee yet since I haven't actually fled from that site yet- perhaps more of a Flickr border-hopper. It's nice to see a quorum of the people whose friendship mattered most to me on Flickr are already established here but, awkwardly, not all of them have made the jump so I'm going to have to keep up a presence there as well. On the other hand the new Flickr set up is so clunky that I only have time to engage in any meaningful way with a limited number of friends there anyway.

So I'm left in a slightly messy situation. The same applies to my blog. This has had a fitful existence since the days of Yahoo 360 (anybody remember that?) and currently resides at http://briansmuses.blogspot.co.uk/. I've also been in the habit of cross posting picture to Flickr which signpost my friends there to what I'm writing about and sometimes say a bit more about individual images. I suppose I'm going to have to do this in parallel now, between Flickr and Ipernity. In an ideal world I'd be able to transfer the whole blog here and put all my future entries (if I ever get round to doing any...) here too but I don't supppose that would be possible. I suppose the least tedious solution will be to post something here as required.

For a rather techno-ambivalent of a certain age it rather does the head in......
