...and the macro lens is almost permanently fixed to the camera. What a wonderful time of year for an insect lover. The countryside is full of dragons and damsels, butterflies, moths, caterpillars, beetles and bugs (to mention but a few). Colour, texture and detail are everywhere. All I have to do now is to get down on my hands and knees (not as easy as it used to be) and try to get up close and personal with the subjects, amidst the lush summer undergrowth. And then spend hours on the internet, trying to find yet another unidentified "fly"
