Thanks to my ipernity friend, Trevor King, I am now aware of the photography of Thomas Leuthard. He provokes strong opinions on his method of gaining photos of strangers but you cannot question the value of the subsequent shots. I have tried to emulate his work but feel uncomfortable intruding people's personal space ....despite my 30x zoom increasing the distance between us!

I went to more anonymous locations of Portsmouth and London to minimise this feeling. It certainly helped in terms of the fact that there were rafts of other cameras snapping away at famous buildings as well as each others in front of them. However, the feeling was addictive, the photos worthy and the subjects unlimited . . . and free! Try it, you might like it!
