I've been transferring pictures from my home album called Nebraska Power Dams. I want to give people some idea of the small power plants that served my home state early in the 20th Century. Many of these small hydroelectric plants were shut down before I was born in 1962. But there were some that operated into the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Only three small hydroelectric power plants (less than 5-Megawatts) are operating in Nebraska today. They are at Kearney, Spalding, and Spencer.
