Slow and steady is what I would describe it as.

I have to come to appreciate the true view count and made some great new friends at Ipernity, there are lots of film shooters to be found here and I am learnig a lot from looking at their images. I find it very heartening when viewers leave comments in German or French, it makes me feel very cosmopolitan.

The community grew quite a bit when folks abandoned Flickr, and joined Ipernity.... Ipernity had the eay site navigation and clean looks reminiscent of the old Flickr. But it was, oh, so quiet.... As a result, I have seen a lot of my friends (those that I interact with) go back to Flickr gradually and post more there than here. Some of my friends never even left Flickr, while some folks that swore to eschew Flickr publicly are still lurking on it regularly.... (anonymously, of course)

I think it is the sheer size of the community and the depth of collective knowledge that make it hard for some of us to leave Flickr ...

So the last few months have been like riding in two boats (urdu saying), deciding what to post on each site, etc., and as a result my overall posts have declined. I simply cannot find enough time to invest fully in each site, let alone both. I still have not decided wether to continue here or to go back to Flickr fully ... so this continues.....
