How do you browse other people's documents?
Do you just open the first few pages (how many)? Or do you open the popular photos with most viewed / favs?
Do you skim through the photos or you open each photo in a separate window/tab or use that widget in the upper right corner?

Most of the times, I open the first 10 pages of photos, then I select photos to look at closer (in a separate window/tab).
Sometimes, I also look at the most popular ones.
I also have a look at "published in your network" (that's how it is called in the German localization)
from time to time...

What I do.....First I go to "recently uploaded", I get to see the recent pictures that are uploaded by my network. I leave my comments...By now I know that there is some bug, sometimes not all the pictures are showed, so I visit their personal streams as well. When you have a big network, then that takes quite some time. Therefore, I don't have such a big network. I prefer to keep it small, it makes it more personal and less superficial. I often see people with networks that exists of hundreds of people. But a lot of them barely visit your stream......I don't think that it is about the amount of contacts you have, it's more about quality. I cherish the people that often visit my stream, that take the effort to look and leave comments. Those are the ones that show interest, those are the ones you should invest in.

I visit people who:
¤ visit me. (Which is why I'm here now - thanks for your visit by the way!)
¤ reply to my comments on other people's sites.
¤ whose work I find inspiring.
¤ who contribute to the group or groups I'm particularly interested in at the moment. (That would be the Sverige Suede Sweden group at present http://www.ipernity.com/group/34049/doc).
¤ And then I try to visit people in my network as well or re-visit people whose pictures I've favourited.
When I come on to someone's site, I usually click on "View All Photos" and then skim through the top 3-6 pages depending on time available. I look more closely at some pictures using the magnifying glass icon especially when there are details I think might look better in a larger picture. (And I'll add a comment encouraging other people to look at the larger size if I think it's warrented.) If I particularly like a picture I favourite it so I can come back again. Sometimes, I am so impressed by the pictures I see that I stay and view all the pics on the site, but honestly I'm not likely to look at more than about 20 pictures on any one site before moving on. I very rarely view the slideshows on individual sites (though I do sometimes on group sites.)
Cheers!
