Greek singer born in 1934, attended the Conservatory of Music in Athens for 8 years but gave up classical singing for the great love he felt for popular music. He began his career singing in small jazz clubs of Athens, he recorded his first album in 1958 and was quickly discovered by Manos Hadjidakis (the greatest composer of Greece and one of the greatest twentieth century) who wrote the songs with which Nana won the first festivals of Europe and that opened the door to his international career.
Nana is faithful only to his love for music, not to a specific style. Its repertoire includes an impressive variety of music, languages and styles ranging from opera to rock, through traditional European music (Greek, French, Italian, Dutch, britnica, etc.), country, gospel, pop in several languages, Latino folklore of many countries, bossa nova, samba and many, many other styles.
Nana stands also speak seven languages fluently and have recorded songs in over a dozen languages, yet the singer said that music is the universal language that knows no languages, religions, races or barriers of any kind.
