Pale green eyes under furrowed brow, ever watchful.
Thick marbled coat, voluptuous cat,
where have you been these years?

Impervious you sat, not reaching out a paw for attentkion,
scractched behind your ears, pretended
disdain; but I saw you look at me.

Two curmudgeons in a cabin in the woods we are.
A most perfect match, you & I.
You fake your indifference.

So do I.

But when I go to bed late at night or early morning,
with whispering purrs you speak to me
of your content, & warm comfort.

We have known each other forever, & only met again.
