Texan Ray Price recorded the original "Make the World Go Away" (Hank Cochran) on the album "Burning Memories" in 1963. It reached number two on the Country chart and scrapped into the top one hundred. When he died in 2013 at age 87 he and Fred Foster, former owner of Monument Records, were working on a new album.

There was a time when Colonel Tom Parker (Andreas van Kuijk) represented Eddy Arnold, Gene Austin, Tommy Sands, Hank Snow and Elvis Presley. Eddy Arnold's hit cover came in 1965 from his album "My World". The classic reached number one of both the Country and Adult Contemporary charts while peaking at number six on the top one hundred.
