Lloyd "Cowboy" Copas replaced Eddy Arnold as the singer in the Pee Wee King band, He released the single "The Tennessee Waltz" (Redd Stewart - Pee Wee King) in 1947 and it reached number three on the Country and Western chart. Cowboy Copas was killed in the same plane 1963 crash as Hawkshaw Hawkins and Patsy Cline.

The Patti Page 1950 multi-tracked chart topping cover was the B side to "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus". Patti is the recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Grammy.
