"Fuedin' Banjos" (Arthur Smith) was composed and recorded in 1955 by banjo players Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith and Don Reno. Arthur owned and operated a sound studio in Charlotte, North Carolina where he produced Billy Graham's Hour of Decision radio show AND James Brown's "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag"!

The movie "Deliverance" featured a memorable version titled "Duelling Banjos" (Arthur Smith - Don Reno) by former member of the Tarriers and the Greenbriar Boys, session musician and one of the best five-string banjo players to walk the face of the earth Eric Weissberg with Steve Mandell (Mandel) on acoustic guitar. The release topped the adult contemporary chart, hit number five on the country chart and peaked at number two on the pop chart in 1973.
