The artistic considerations and those relating to the protection of minors are sometimes conflicting. It is often a dilemma for us to decide whether content should be moderated or not. Regarding this member, we asked him not to publicly share some photos showing scenes of bondage or total nudity. In any case we asked him to delete its contents. We try every time to find a good compromise, but whatever our decision, it will be accepted by 50% of people and rejected by the other 50%. It's a real dilemma and it is not specific to ipernity: all publishing services on the Internet have the duty to respect artistic works but also to protect children against offensive content. We plan to establish a system of rating and filtering content that will - hopefully - reconcile as much as possible these antagonisms (we opened a topic here: http://www.ipernity.com/group/36490/discuss/13963 - Of course, your opinion is welcome).
AND THAT's the real problem. As long as we only discuss (and pay) artistic users are still censored. As long as this NEW FEATURE is not implemented IPER looses valuable work every day.
MY DEMAND:
Please don't block any content or user as long as this NEW FEATURE is not implemented yet.
The french law is soft enough not to close IPER for any illegal content.
So please spend more time on developing the NEW FEATURE than on deleting content.
after six weeks of solid non-communication from the team (with many people pissed off, scared and *gone*) and considering the concerns voiced in the no censorship group (which was, by the way, founded because of the aforementioned six weeks of solid non-communication from the team)...
...it would have been really nice to get an estimate on when and how we can expect the situation to be remedied, instead of the usual cut & paste stuff again.

But I don't really care anymore.
