The storage grounds.

josie soho lost connection with her wireless external hard drive some months ago and has clogged her computer so badly she can't make even one more pic. she's in the process of offloading to a new external with a terabyte of memory. unthinkable isn't it? it boggles her mind too.

working on the web is a mix of feet on the ground with head in the skies. a vapored reality.

i know a terabyte won't solve all my problems... backup the backup i know. i'm still here just don't feel like running a retrospective right now so new pics will be sparse for a while...

btw, do you know how heavy are dvds? i'm thinking of buying external drive :P one more move and in spite of camera and dvds i would have nothing else in my luggage :P

home's, the files are too big for dvds. and when you factor in the originals as well as the modified files it gets crazy. there's got to be a better way.

Nothings safe in the Digital world...makes it exciting though. Lost a whole computers worth of stuff awhile back. Reinstalled everything...but obviously no photos or files...a few weeks later I found all the originals hidden within the computer system, just by accident, because Id been searching for something and then noticed something else that shouldnt have been there...dug a little deeper and found the original computer hidden, it was as though I had two computers one hiding and one visible........Ive got a love hate relationship with computers..

yes, i had a crash sometime ago. lost or buried 10,00 images. you're ahead of me in knowing where to look. i just moved on. i certainly wouldn't welcome that happening again. but it's all part of the experience. works in th eactual world don't necessarily last forever either.

in the meantime i've learned if one has a terabyte of storage a second one is necessary for backup and so on...
