different strokes

Saturday December 15, 2007 at 10:52PM

in addition to thanking you all again for dropping by my stream...

i thought i would add that i'm noticing the number of image visits is quite even across the board regardless of the image...

it's nice to know that people are taking the time to view the entire stream...thx again

Why you are welcome, I make sure that I look at a definate statistical average of all the imagery that is presented. I would not want to generate a bell curve on your numbers.

i can't explain it but i do find it fascinating...it may have something to do with...

the number of uploads...
the fact that i'm posting only serious work...
perhaps there are fewer images on the site...
or maybe the audience here being more european not does suffer from ADD like us north americans...

i've always found the chronological stream format a hinderrance...here and elsewhere...i think we have discussed it before...

thx Lar

You might be onto something with the A.D.D. I did a Flickr experiment where I uploaded a pic of a naked female body. The hits soared instantly, then progressively died down. The image stands at over 900 hits. The crazy part? She is a 3D generated image. So basically, anything of the female form will temporarily cure the A.D.D. But yes, here it is more evenly spread. I guess you can't be partial to one site or the other; views are views and you are getting exposure. Which photos are the top contenders.... aah, that is the real question. Laterz!

thx Flo...i find the audience here very mature but somewhat reserved...language issues i'm sure have something to do with that...and i'm sure you'd agree that flickr is first and foremost and english speaking site...perhaps with members that are more easily impressed...happy holiday season

I've been seeing your work in flickr for a while and now here; I've always found your work simply fantastic. I can see why a nude portrait will generate such big traffic on your stream (they are beautiful), but your aerosol work is Superb, and I personally enjoy those greatly!

Happy to have found you here!

You're very much welcome... I have the same name, ~Tatankanuk~, the reason you haven't seen comments of mine there is that I added your aerosol work as an rss feed to my online feed for my screensaver.... they are great conversation pieces!! I should comment on them, my apologies...

On the comment you made to Flo, I totally agree with you, and even more, I'm glad that that language barrier exists... That way, whatever comments they make, to me at least, it means that the image was powerful enough to break that barrier...

Happy Holidays!
