an apology really... to all my ipernity friends conatcts and supporters...
i want to thank you all for your support faves and comments...i really haven't been reciprocal with my time and attention...
as some of you know i have continued to spend most of my photo sharing time at the old place...

mainly because that's where most of my web traffic flows...especially since i made most of my stream public there once again...and also because of the groups which i founded and adminster...
i am not trying to encourage anyone of you to reconsider their web choices...i know many of you are very happy here...
frankly the time has come for me to spend more time marketing the work on various pay platforms...and i will be advising all of you about that in the days ahead..

in spite of the fact that i swore i would keep this stream uncluttered and for original photographs only...
i am thinking that perhaps i should reneg and post some of my paintings as well...if ipernity allowed for the creation of two accounts i'd probably start a second account devoted to this work
reasons for...
-that's where most of my creative energy has been focused for the last 10 years...
-i have a lot of inventory that i'd like to promote
-i'm running shy of quality photos that i consider worthy of this portfolio stream
reasons against...
-this is a photo site
-i don't want this stream to become a dog's breakfast like my flickr account..

the other day some very brave individual told me he thought my images suck and didn't understand wtf i was trying to achieve...
frankly it was one of the best comments i've ever had on a 2.0 site...

i'd like to thank all my new friends here at ipernity for their support...and some old ones too
it took some time but i finally cracked three thousand visits here...and finally feel as though there is life beyond flickr...
i don't mean to boast but at the the peak of my flickr romp i was receiving that many hits a day...that was before the system came down on me not once but four separate times with restrictions and account reviews...
it's been quite an adjustment..but i must admit that i have not spent ten to twelve hours a day here for months on end...
