That's a good question which I can only answer by guessing. Mutation is an experiment of sorts isn't it?

if you think teleologically it might be, but first you've got to believe that there's a huge (or not so huge) mind keeping this all in order and consideration...
According to my recently purchased 'dictionary of angels' Asrael is the great administrator :-DDD

You're referring to the experimental aspirations of Ipernity nature? One of the administrators is Asrael (that's probably just an Internet nick, it sounds a bit pompous)? Well, I guess you have the connections, I don't know what they're called. Hello experimental Ipernity admins, what are your names?

nothing to do with Ipty!!!! the great administrator will give you a bad ticket if you don't believe!

But I'm supposed to believe in ONE only!! So what the heck am I going to do with Asrael now? I'm not polyandrous!! And anyway, I don't know this guy, what does he have to say? Does he want to meet me in a café on Sunday? Perhaps he has batteries - beware!!

he is (as most if not all of his consorts everywhere, everytime, every moment! What makes you believe that he eats batteries?

Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
I said "has batteries, not eats batteries" ;-)
I just believe in The Great Spirit and not in all his friends, they may be cool, but it's too difficult for me to keep track of them :-)

if one has batteries that lose their load then they are been eaten...
Great Spirit? like the indians? well, the consorts are more fun!

Gäbii (öffline if not önline) replies:
- It seems you haven't quite figured out the correct usage of batteries. It's the other way round. First, they are being eaten and then they lose their load!! :-DDD
- Exactly. Like the Indians (or Native Americans, as political correctness has it). They sure are more fun! So why don't you believe in something that's fun instead of all that gloom doom religion that was created by power hungry people, such as royalty, medieval clerics, and buddies - and certainly not by any gods or great spirits?

umm, i don't think theologically. i thought you were talking about science.

peri22b pro replies:
well, theology is also a science ;-)
I'm just putting the question as a simple mind I am. Theology comes in where present knowledge reaches it's (temporary) end, this is the only connection. Further I just approach these things as 'what can I do with it?'...

Theology isn't science. It's scholarship.

a good remark ;-)
(when looking at it as knowledge, yes otherwise, I see it as a part of the "science of government")

Experiment implies a lot of things. Are we talking about the who plays dices? Are we talking about intelligent design? or are we talking about natures little chemist doing this and that just for the fun of it?

Personally I think the answer must be no, as an experiment in my understanding implies that there is an end to meet with it. In other words that there is a direction to evolution and I don't think there is.
