Je suis enchanté d'ipernity!

Saturday July 7, 2007 at 05:43PM

I just contacted the support, why pictures aren't rotated in the original sizes. I got the fastest response I ever had from a technical support, not 10 minutes later I had the explanation (They don't change originals, what I think is a good thing (TM)).

This response was even faster than the responses I get from my colleague sitting at the desk opposite mine if I ask him stuff on programming. His responses usually start directly after the questions, but they don't end before 20 minutes passed ;-) (which means I learn a lot more than I want to on programming...)

So, Chapeau Ipernity! I am happy to see that there actually exists good customer support :-)

Thanks Nils.... well I can't say we will always reply that fast. We do our best, but sometimes we're in a rush and can't reply that fast - and we need to set up a help forum for common questions. cheers!

Well, you don't need to... But I am amazed how well communication at ipernity happens. You get (fast!) responses on your questions, the ipernity team communicates what they are up to and seems to be generally open to comments. One of the reasons I changed here from flickr is this. I hate it when nothing gets communicated, if there is serious trouble you only did get marketing blurbs at flickr. I believe the current flickr desaster wouldn't have happened if they would have told people what they were up to...

But then, I wouldn't have discovered ipernity, so something good was in it. But please continue transmitting what you are up to, I think everybody is happy knowing what is going on.... You are doing great work, especially for the small team I believe you are. A community site like ipernity lives from communication and you are doing very well at it :-)
