using FlickrExport for Aperture for uploading to ipernity.com

Saturday June 30, 2007 at 11:33PM

Hi everybody,

it looks like the API used by ipernity.com is compatible to that one used by flickr. So - at least theoretically - all software written for the flickr API should work with ipernity as well...

I bought the FlickrExporter for Apple Aperture, which I used quiet often, it's a great tool - but unfortunately it's made for flickr.

According to the developer, it can be switched to be used with any other flickr-compatible site, such as ipernity.com. But changing the address of the API isn't enough.

Does anybody have any experiance with this?

Best,

Michael

Yes, I have ;)

I did implements this for the photo management software I'm using: f-spot. It's just a working draft yet. For simple uploads the API is identical. Depending on the implementation integration should be very easy (as it was for f-spot; the one small problem I found has been solved by the ipernity team quickly ;)...

yes, they wrote me something about an API Key and API Secret, but I don't know where to place this information...
