[INTERVIEWS] Tobitobi

Wednesday December 5, 2007 at 10:02AM

Today we meet another hi-profile photographer and we will follow him even on Flickr, to take a look at some great shots and photographer. Ladies and Gentlemen: Tobitobi

Nickname: tobitobi comes from a friend of mine. Her name is "loni" she has the according website....

Real name: Tobias Lang

Age: 40 +3 days :) (Note from Roberto: at the time when he answered the question)

Website: photo-punk.com

Town/nation: Munich / german / Germany

Spoken languages: german, english

Q. Tell us something about you and photography

A. I startet taking images in the age of 10, never owned a camera untill i was 22. from that time i took images, never thought about them just took them.

Since two years I think about getting serious with the photography.... learning every day.

Q. What are your preferred subjects and techniques?

A.
subjects: I love people, and mystical things like graves, grave stones, etc. Things people do not want to see, but should.

techniques: I love to shoote with a wide apperture, i try to shoot never abouve f.9.... normally i do not crop my images. I allways try to take the image as it should appear.

I shoot direct to hard disk, in Studio. I develop with lightroom due to I don't have a MAC pro.. ;) PhotoShop CS2

Q. Are you a professional photographer?

A. I would call me semi-pro, i do not earn enough money to live from photogrphy.... but i try harder. I make some money by working as an IT professional... freelancer.

Q. What's your equipment?

A.

Bodies:

Canon EOS 1Ds MARKII

Canon EOS 1D MARKII

Lenses:

50mm 1.4

24-70 2.8

70-200 2.8

Holga

Rollei Magic

Q. When and where you started sharing your shots?

A. I started sharing 3 years ago on my website, then I found flickr which I thought is a nice web 2.0 community.

Q. Three preferred shots of yours?

A. To point to three images I like is difficult, i like so many different styles.

From studio, to wild light over street, landscape and animals.... but people i prefer most.

I like people images like that:

Q. The three preferred photographers or bloggers on Ipernity (so I can interview them: it isn't a contest ;-) )

A.

artwhise:

Russ (Canada) , my all time favourite

M.Mattingly (Germany)

Brett Walker (UK)

technical:

M8bilder (Germany)

Danz

Q. What are the features you'd like to see implemented/improved on Ipernity?

A. The only feature i would love to have is to be able to choose how many images from my contacts i want to see!

Thank you very much, Tobias, for letting us know you better
