Taking it easy

Friday July 27, 2007 at 06:37AM

I will take it easy in the next few days with the Internet and comutering.

My back was starting to give me trouble and that's a sign that I need a break and should start doing something different.

Two days ago I started watching the "Harry Potter" movies. I only had watched the first two. Had read all the books so far. And yesterday I just followed my instincts and went in a little local stationary shop, which sells magazines and a few books too and YES, it was there. I could even choose from two Layouts.

Now I need to watch the 5th movie before reading the book, so I'm up to date again, it's all too long ago to remember everything.

And to train my brain a bit, I have the newspaper coming now every morning. I never read the news on the net anyway, even if I try too.

So, if you don't see me around as much as usual, it's not because I hate you all off a sudden, it's just that I need a break . You all take care and have fun!

I want a delivery of books too, sigh,.....we can't use APO (Post is too far out and no car) and snailmail to the house is WAY too scary here :D
I need to go to Virgin records one of these days and get me a supply - I read too fast.

A funny thing...I can order a book from amazon.uk on a Sunday and it is waiting for me here in Canada on Wednesday (except the time they shipped me direct from Germany instead of England - customs snagged that book for 2 weeks!) ...but if I order from here just 20 miles away it takes over a week (at best) for the order. Hope you stock up at Virgin soon : )

In den letzten Tagen habe ich auch viel gelesen - aber wir haben die Buecherei nicht allzu weit weg, so dass wir mindestens einmal in der Woche dort hin koennen ...

Poor you... Back ailments are horrible. I find that long walks with the Hounds are great. I was in a low speed car crash before Easter (everyone was fine, don't ask about the car) and it was enough to set my back off again. I'd hurt it in a more spectacular crash a few years back and finally seemed back to "normal" the past year or so, being able to lift heavy things and engage in my usual activities without feeling it... so I was really frustrated when the problem returned, albeit not badly, but enough to cramp my style. I'm fine again now and I put it down to the long walks...

Wishing you happy healing... I'll check in on you when I get back from Galicia.
Take care xXx

Well, have a great trip :)!!

Long walks would be great, if it wasn't that damned warm :(
Staying away from the computer already helps though :)!

Thanks for the well-wishes - off I go again ;)

In my opinion, giving a break with the computer will only help you temporarily, if any.

try exercising instead. exercise is the permanent solution for any type of back pain.

you should also get into a more straight position in front of the computer. It is all about how you sit.

and did I mention that all Turks are also doctors? LOL
