[EN] You all know how to explore everyone's tags and how it's cool to see someone's tags. But browsing in tags is not always easy. Now it is! Check this new feature by clicking on any document from a tag's page and browse the other docs just like you do with an album. ex : tag flower

Ej: etiqueta flower (flor)

This is a pretty cool feature. Thank you.

However, I don't understand why you use tag IDs in the URL and not the actual tag name?

kcupro replies:
Yes, tag names in the URL would be more comfortable. AND it would be much easier for third-party applications to use ipernity tags analogous to the dreary flickr tags.

Tags are a cool feature - however ...

It is difficult to look for a tag from the url. When I am looking for a special tag, I cannot simply change the tag word in the url, but I have to go to my alphabetical list instead, and that takes just too many clicks. So I have to second Moritz on that.

Also I discovered a bug in my alphabetical list, as several of my tags don't show up there. For instance I have at least one picture tagged with banyan and banyan tree, but neither keyword shows up in my alphabetical list. It is hard to find pictures without being able to rely on the tags.

The other day I noticed even more (different) tags were missing from my list, but I right now I don't recall which tag it was. And when I look for tags in the doc manager, to add older pictures to albums, it fails more than it works and tells me no docs were found with those tags.

Maybe those bugs could be fixed? Other than that: Thank you for the great work, Team Ipernity!

yes, i am missing "real tags" in URLS as well, alias or soemthing. the numbering has advantages but for the usability it would be better to have readable URLs.

That is so cool - brilliant!
I use tags a lot, both to organise and locate, so I'm delighted!

Thank you :-)

Wow a great feature! - for me it would be wonderful if on a normal photo page you had some sort of mark/link next to the tags which you could click and it would take you to the same page but with that tag explore enabled. A lot of times I find interesting tags by visiting a picture directly - it would be great if you could straightaway see other photos published with that tag.

This sort of thing shows thinking out the box, great stuff!

I would also like to see some kind of fuzzy tag search. When I searchs for "flower" it doesn't show documents tagged with "flowers" as tag. So a regular expression like search would be nice. Even if optional.

What about “wrapping“ this bulky numbers to easy-to-remember words? What ist a “12727”? But if the URL contains “flower” everyone know, what he can expect ;)
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Paŭl Peeraertspro replies:
Yes and no ... If you now click on "flower", you won't see the "fleur", "Blume", "flos", "bloem", "flor", "floro" and so many more. I hope that once Ipernity will create a system in which 12727 will lead to all of them!
Posted 2 years ago. ( permalink )
Dirkpro replies:
This is the only benefit, the numbers could give us ;) Language-independent search for tags.

But until this is done, i’d prefer easy-to-remember URLs including the tag i searched for.

I just discovered another bug, when I uploaded 3 new pictures. I had already previously tagged 5 pictures with "foothills pkwy cosby". The newly uploaded pictures should have the same tag, but the y at the end of the town is missing. I cannot change the tag, I tried several times. The missing y will not show up, no matter what I do.

I would like to have all 8 pictures with the same (correct) tag, as they are taken in the same area, just in different years. What can I do to change the tag? Is there maybe a way to assign the correct tag number (68433 instead of 211070) to them?

And what about the bug I reported further up? My banyan tree unfortunately is still not showing in the alphabetical list.

Thank you for your attention to these matters!
