pretty annoying these advertisements to vote every day. I thought a pro account would guarantee no ads. I voted once for the nomination and once for the final contest. that should be enough, isn't it? I almost regret I have voted for Ipernity by now.

I actually like those reminders, because I love Ipernity and want to do everything I can to shame Fli***r. And this way I know exactly when my 24 hours have passed, and I can vote again.

Yes, "ads" would be annoying (meaning I understand your frustration), but this is no ad, and very easy to get rid of: Just click on the little x once a day, and you won't be bothered anymore ...

@Pandarine: If "Just click on the little x once a day" would be OK for all sympathetic ads, 24 hrs of clicking wouldn't be enough every day. Ergo, I think it is intrusive and a violation of the values we perceive around here.
Actually, I like to refer to my first statement here on Ipernity where I had no illusions that, if Ipernity becomes as successful as Flickr, the same thing would happen again. Flickr started off the same way, but once money and market share matter, things change. If have been searching for principle values and commitment on Ipernity, the kind that would secure that this will not happen on Ipernity, but such commitments have not been made as far as I know.
Maybe it is better not to vote :-) and keep this space as intimate as it is now ....

It's just 3 more days. Honestly I understand your point. I think Flickr is still a nice community though.

Actually, I had quite similar thoughts about 4 weeks ago. But that's when ipernity wasn't in the final round yet. Now I just don't want "the other site" to have the satisfaction of winning ;-)

And once again: Yes, I *do* understand your concern.
